Any dress size is okay, as long as you aren't so large that you're classified as obese. Then it's just unhealthy.

My dress size is different for every store. I barely even focus on the number, I focus on how good it looks on me.

As long as you are healthy and active, then don't worry about your dress size. You're only 15 - don't start worrying about trivial things like that.

Oh, and I'm not sure if 5 is small or not, like I said, I'm a bit lost when it comes to sizes...my mom helps me out in the department! laugh.gif

Well, it depends how tall you are because i'm 15, 5'6'' and i weigh about 114lbs and i usually wear a 3 or 5, so I wouldn't say that's fat.

Of course dress sizes run smaller, 5 isn't the lowest number.

At least you have somewhere to go in a pretty dress. The only time I'll get to do that is on my wedding day which isn't even guaranteed.

Just think about how lucky you are because you get to go to homecoming.

Don't even stress about dress sizes. My prom gown was a size 6, but my debut dress was an extra small. Yesterday I tried on a size five that was too snug, but I bought another that was a size 4. The numbers don't mean anything.

Also. Please don't compare yourself to your friend just because she bought a smaller dress. You said you were very active, so I'm betting you're not an overgrown obese slob. Instead, I'm betting that your beautifully proportioned, so forget about it and have fun at homecoming. happy.gif

Yeah, depending on brand you're usually always a different size. I wouldn't really know much about dresses, being that I haven't worn one since I was really young.
Don't worry about; trust me. Whenever I tell people that I wear a size 7 or 9 in junior pants they always say I look smaller. happy.gif
Just focus on being healthy, and buying things that fit you.. not numbers.

i think dress sizes tend to be smaller, because they usually only have to fit the upper half, so it's easier to fit into. i think i'm a 0-4, depending on the dress.

Oh yeah another good thing is just because you were a 4 before but now when you go to this other store your not, Dont buy the 4 when its very tight and you cant breathe. You'll look much smaller if you buy things that fit : ) ^^

everywhere i go i fit into a different size...my bridesmaids dress was like a size 8/10 and that freaked me out till i realized that the company that made the dresses sizes ran differently...it just all depends on where you are getting the dress...like everyone else said...
