submit button, it doesnt work...its like broken |

im trying to edit my about me section but the submit doesnt work anymore.
its only the about me section not any other section. i tried putting the script for the submit button but since i cant submit it....nothing works... HELP!!! |

when u go to preview the layout.. put this in the address bar..
javascript:document.forms[1].submit(); now sometimes it adds a - between j and ava... just go back and take it out.. also, if you have a comment box you need to change the 1 to a 2 or 3. |

i've been having that problem too.
adding "javascript:document.forms[1].submit();" doesn't really work for me. where exactly do you insert it? |

I just put it in the address url bar...
where you to go type in websites.... i just copy and paste it in there, when i go to preview. it works fine for me, sometimes it adds a "-" between J and AVA. so you might want to see if it's adding it, it usually does in IE. so if so, just go take that out... :) and wahla |

that's weird.. i've never had that problem with it...
have you tried refreshing the page after viewing the profile? |

yea i have the same problem when i get on my laptop you may have some kind of spyware or something thats not making it work.... which is odd i know but it could be a problem:/ |

It's happening to me to. I have used the manual submit button before correctly so know how to do it but it just aint working anymore.
All i wanna do is change my background pic. For some reason my submit button has just decided to stop working even though it was all fine yesterday. When i insert the code it just takes me to the edit bit agen, urghhhhhhh frustrating!! Don't know what to do. I do have a comment box tho so what do you mean by changing the 1 to a 2 or 3???? |

Usually when you have a comment box you have to change the 1 (after forms in the code) to a 2 so that it knows to submit the 2nd form instead of the first one the page (which would be your comment box). Usually if it thinks it's submiting the comment box you'll get sent to the page that says "Error: you must be someone's friend to leave them a comment".
On the other hand I have a comment box and I don't have to change number to a 2 because on the preview page my comment box is displayed below where the submit button would be. Most people with a comment box do need to change the 1 to a 2. The submit code quit working for me for a while yesterday too, but started working again. Try it without the ; at the end. |

I tried taking the ; off of the end but still no luck.
I'm a bit confused about what everyone means about changing the 1 to a 2 or 3 etc, the box where my friends leave comments has been fine for ages. Maybe i'm not lookin in the right place..... i'll get it though. |

the 1 that is highlighted in red, that usually has to be changed if you have a comment box code in your coding..however it doesn't for everyone, but you could try it to see... everyone seems to be having problems with it working here today.. so maybe it's jsut a glitch that myspace is trying to work on, give it a few more days :) |

Yeah tried changing the numbers etc and had no luck so am hoping that it's a problem with myspace..... for a change!!
