No. I believe that we will just go into a dreamless eternal sleep.

It really depends on your religious beliefs, I suppose.

I believe in heaven and hell, yeah. Reincarnation, yeah.

But the thing about Reincarnation is that once your reincarnated you don't even know who you were in a past life, so i just don't like that concept at all.

I think that when you die, that's it--you're dead. No reincarnation, no going to heaven. I think humans created the concept of an afterlife for two reasons: one, it comforts them to think that there is something better awaiting them after death; and two, humans believe that they are so evolved and all-important that they can't possibly just "disappear" after death. Well, I don't buy into that. I think that once you're dead, that's it, there's nothing else waiting for you.

i completely agree....i said the same thing about love. that it just there to make people feel like there was more to their lives. and ^...no ghosts. i defintely don't believe in ghosts. i think most people who believe in life after death believe in religion as well....

i wont go into my views on that.

Nah.

I mean, I wish there were--I hope I'm wrong--but I doubt they exist.

I apologize in advance for not reading all the responses before me. This is what I believe is true:

When you die unfulfilled, you will become a ghost and wander around for the rest of eternity, but if you can possibly achieve what you had intended to achieve during your lifetime, you will be granted reincarnation. And if you don't, you'll be wandering forever.

When you die fulfilled, you will automatically be reincarnated. Some people will remember some of their previous life, but most do not. I believe in reincarnation because I do remember bits and pieces of my last lifetime and unfortunately, it made me look like one insane, schizophrenic child (I claimed to be a cat in my last lifetime and I still have a cat shrine at home mellow.gif). I know now to keep my silly opinions to myself lest I be ridiculed like I was when I was younger. I still believe that to this day, but it's not completely taking over me. I've gotten used to it, I suppose and I've adapted to this way of living.

Eh, I hope I don't sound too much like a psycho for you to think I'm too full of shit to debate with.

Amazing statements mellow.gif ohmy.gif

In my religion, if you dont follow the eightfold paths, you'll be reincarnated untill you reached all eigthfold paths.

Once you completed it, you become buddha and never return to the world ever again. mellow.gif

Yes, it's buddha religon.

But i have no hope for my religon because of my arguements in my religon.

I find your candor quite compelling. Most people will only believe what they are told by by others in order to fit in the mainstream. Your post comes from your own experience and is, as a result, more than a belief. It is something that you know. Your post tells of knowing your dharma (truth) through your relationship to cats. Living your truth is to know enlightenment. There is nothing "psycho" about you.

I haven't thought of this much, just trying to live this life first.

I don't necessarily believe in an actual condition after you die. But I believe in reincarnation, because I've had experiences similar to Katt's (AkaRyux). But once you learn all of life's lessons, I believe you just die, without being reincarnated.

Are you willing to share any of those experiences?
