All of my computers have or had names, so that they could be identified on a network. They've been known as:

Mac Classic II: Charlie
Macintosh Performa 6320CD: Alexis
Dell Dimension 4300: Algernon
iBook: Anastasia
Linux workstation/server: Matteo
iBook G4: Kyra

see thats i plan on doing since im getting a wireless router soon my mobile is thusly called ninja but i still need a name for my beloved IBM....

Bob is an awesome name.
i named my shoes Charlie 'cause the guy that signed the thingy was named Charlie and i felt like being random.
and i named my iPod Nano Sam. i have very interesting conversations with him.

I thought the dude's name was "Charley." I don't know, I haven't read it since middle school. Great story though. I should read that over the summer.

My computer doesn't really have a name, but my iPod and my digital camera have names. My iPod is Rosaura and my camera is Rosario. I have a thing about Spanish names the begin with "Ros-" obviously.

As for what you should name your computer, how about August? Or Octavian?

we're constantly coming up with the wierdest names for objects while we're in health class. and my car is named neo. we used to all name our instruments in music, but i think most people have since forgotten or given up theirs.

I know that. Michael (mipadi) said that two of his computers' names refer to Flowers for Algernon, but one of the computers is named "Charlie" so I was asking him.
