This is a more personal piece for me. It's kind of like a follow-up to the first piece that I made almost a month ago, when a friend, April, was killed in a car crash. (Today would have been her 15th birthday, and it will be exactly 1 month since the accident on Monday.)

That piece was symbolic of the chaotic situation that her friends and family were thrown into. The red theme was meant to be symbolic of death.

This piece is less chaotic - symbolic of everyone putting the pieces back together. The shapes coming from the right and top are symbolic of the bonds that her friends and family still have to her. The reddish/purple hues are more about love and friendship than anything else in this one.

I guess you don't necessarily need to see the symbolism in these two pieces, but... yeah. Enjoy it all the same. Cinema4D and Photoshop.

Rest in peace, April. We'll never forget you.
