OKAY, here's the dealio :) So, I'm trying to take screenshots from my Window Media Player, but it won't let me (yes, I've tried turning down the acceleration thing). So going online and searching, people have said that this player called BSPlayer has helped them take screenshots. So, I downloaded the program, but my computer only lets Windows or Real Player play the DVD.

Is there any way I can open up my DVD using the new player I downloaded?

you can use a DVD decrypting wizard to take it off the DVD and put it on your computer.

but by far the easiest way is to simply download the movie from online.

(which is why copy protection is doomed to fail)
