i wear pads normally.

first time i tried a tampon, i couldnt find the hole. >.<

second and third time was okay, but it was uncomfortable, and when ever i moved it slipped out a little bit, and hurt when you sat. so i had to keep moving in my seat to get comfortable.

Tampons by Playtex

My friend told me that her dad (who is a doctor) said that Tampax Pearl tampons give you TSS more easily x_X I'm not sure if this is true or not, but it scared me to death.

Playtex is the most comfortable, anyways. ^_^

and I agree, PADS ARE HORRIBLE X_X

whats TSS?

Actually if you put them in right you cant even feel that its there!

I use tampons but there not good for you because you can TSS and the whole point of your period is that its cleaning your body out and its not all coming out when you use a tampon its just plugging it up till it stops

But I dont like pads cuz they feel mad nasty

whats TSS?

it's short for toxic shock syndrome. it's caused by toxins in the bloodstream and can be very serious. many people associate TSS with using tampons because that's how over 1/2 the cases are caused; by people leaving their tampons in too long, or something else. it's quite rare though.

QUOTE
The signs and symptoms of TSS include:
high fever (greater than 102° Fahrenheit [38.8° Celsius])
rapid drop in blood pressure (with lightheadedness or fainting)
sunburn-like rash on the entire body
vomiting and diarrhea
severe muscle aches or weakness
bright red coloring of the eyes, throat, and vagina
headache, confusion, disorientation, or seizures
kidney and other organ failure

and i use pads... haha i had the same experience as RAWRstephishere, i couldn't find the hole the first time pinch.gif i'll admit, they're way more comfortable than pads, but i think i was kind of scarred by the whole putting them in and then taking them out experience.

pads=no. tampons=yes. i feel way more comfortable wearing a tampon than a pad. & for all of you people that are like "ooh, scary, ouch painful" etc; get over it, you'll end up using them eventually. mellow.gif

I normally use tampons, but on really light days, I just use those tiny pads so they don't feel so bad. And of course, I wear pads to bed, but otherwise, tampons are just easier to deal with and much more comfortable.

In my opinion, pads are absolutely disgusting unless you're sleeping, an extremely heavy bleeder, or are wearing it just in case the tampon leaks. Just pads alone makes me feel kind of sick, you can feel the blood like drip out and you're basically sitting on it. Tampons, you don't even feel them. It's not comfortable the first time but after that it's a piece of cake.

I have a question I've been meaning to ask for a long time, why are so many girls afraid to use tampons?
