The Lady and the Sea
She said goodbye to her love He left in a boat from the pier He promised her that he would return And with tear soaked eyes she swore she would wait. Many many nights past on And she was always at the pier, waiting Many nights gathered They gathered on her hair and on her lips She wore the same dress Just in case if her love were to make a mistake The crabs bite her sadness and her illusions And as time passes on She fell in love with the sea She is alone with the forgotten Alone with her spirit Alone with her love the sea She is waiting at the pier Waiting and dreaming When her true love would appear |

"She wore the same dress
Just in case if her love were to make a mistake The crabs bite her sadness and her illusions And as time passes on" I enjoyed that part especially. You made it very easy to read [short and simple] yet captured despair that the girl was feeling. Nice. I really like the title also. It caught my eye. |

We all enjoyed it!!!
I love everything about it, I can just picture this beautiful lady sitting on the pier, and then growing weaker and weaker, dirtier and dirtier - but still stands on, just waiting for her love. |
