Microsoft's Project Origami finally released its product: a computer, sans keyboard, but with a 7-inch touch screen and stylus. It's billed at "ultracompact": only a bit larger than a PDA, and as powerful as a laptop. It runs XP and will eventually run Vista.

More information is available here.

The device carries a price tag of $600 to $1000. Is that worth it for a device that isn't quite a laptop, but isn't quite as small as a PDA either?
