HoLy CRAP can some kind person HELPPPPP!!!!, layout help Options

Can someone possibly help me convert this basic overlay layout- below- to a center div overlay? I've been trying so hard to figure it out and seriously I can't, this shit is ruining my days lol...lame I know....It's just that I have no idea what css, style, style tags, div, etc. etc. means....I do not understand anything on the tutorials, I think I'm like 95% computer illiterate....but yea if someone could be so kind as to help me take this layout and make it into the "center 1 column" div layout, that would be muuuuuchhhhhh appreciated!! P.S. Can you tell me where exactly I paste things in what sections...cuz I won't know where the heck to put it and I'll probably end up ruining my profile beyond repiar like I've done so many times before...thanks alot guys.....
