do you think the chicken came first or the egg?

i personally think the egg came first, from some sort of other animal and it hatched into a chicken.

because the chicken can not just get borned out of nothing.

so maybe some two genes mixed and then egg appeared. what do you people think?

this is like evolution or creation

animals were created on the 5th day

um... i dont think you understand evolution and natural selection, nature sifts out the undesirable traits by killing off those that possess them, thats how evolution works.. chickens dont evolve from eggs

it was a joke...sheesh, don't take it so literally and if ya want to get technical chickens do "evolve" from eggs. There's more than one way to use the word evolve without meaning evolution itself

Egg.
There's no chicken without an egg.

AGREE !! of course the egg is first... without an egg how does a chicken rebirth? well the first chicken ever made was by God's hand...he made it...and the chicken started to lay eggs

Keep theology out please, as not everyone believes in the same thing..

And well.. yes, the generic concept of the egg came first, but wouldnt the chicken have to have come before the first "chicken egg" by evolving from another species?

chicken becuase "god" created the chickens who had the egg

egg because it was made from mixing 2 other beings possibly..creating the chicken...

i don't think the egg could work because the chicken would need something the fertilize with...and doing that with the other eggs like its bro;s and sisters would make genetic disorders...

and if you are atheist you probably wouldn't think the chicken..

it's an unanswered ilogical question.

Actually, it's the Archaeopteryx. Pterodactyls were just dinosaurs who can fly. While the Archaeopteryx has feathers. _smile.gif

And yeah, the biggest argument the people who say " chicken came first " is: The bible says so.
Well in that case, Witches and Wizards exist because J.K Rowling says so.
It's just a book!

yea that's true.

"a chicken and an egg are lying in bed. the chicken is leaning against the head board smoking a cigarette, with a satisfied smile on its face. the egg, looking a bit pissed off, grabs the sheet, rolls over, and says "well, i guess we finally answered THAT question!"

NIYAHAHAhahaha.

I've always had the same argument. I figure that some species was evolving and gave birth to the chicken.

dinosaurs evolved into all modern day birds.
dinosaurs had eggs.
dinosaurs lived before birds were evolved.

so, what do you think? chicken, or egg?

blink.gif Archaeopteryx, “feathered” dinosaurs, and dinosaurs with “birdlike” skeletons are not transitional species between reptiles and birds. So you cannot say all dinosaurs evolved into birds, but that is a whole debate in itself. As for my answer to the question, just like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a toosie roll pop?...the world may never know
