ahh my school had banned myspace, xanga, and all those sites and if you do go on it, you will get 6 detentions and they keep on telling us not to put that much personal information online, since anyone can view your page. i mean that's kind of stupid for going on those sites in schools.

If you're going to put something on the internet, chances are people will see it. That's what the internet is for. And there isn't really anything restricting the selected few from seeing those sites, other than blocking. If they don't block, they're dumb and deserve to get in a lot of trouble.

Not that I'm saying that stuff is right. Pretty much..don't put /anything/ on the internet if you don't want some people to see it.

Blogs have nothing to do with a school. It's like a diary..who really cares what's written in a diary? Blogs are just (normally) limited so that it /can/ go on the internet. Schools shouldn't get involved. that's just my opinion.

That's a retarded rule. Why? Parents should be responsible on keeping track of what their kids are having access to online. Like I personally don't want my parents to know, but hey, they aren't complaining or whatnot. So the parents shouldn't complain when it's their fault for not keeping a CLOSE watch over their YOUNG children.
