He did not solely decide to go to war. Congress has to vote on it. If they didn't approve we wouldn't be there right now. And if you are a resident in another country you shouldn't be doing anything illegal because you will be sent back to your country. And Bush didn't make that up

He did have the power to get the whole nation behind it and lie about WMDs and confuse/distort to make people associate Saddam with 9/11. Congress represents the nation. Therefore, Bush did solely decide to goto war.

No, also do you actually think it was Bush's idea?? They have been planning to tear down Saddam and his regime.

"U.S. Congress passes the Iraq Liberation Act, calling for the removal of Saddam Hussein's regime [and urging] 'the United Nations to establish an international criminal tribunal for the purpose of indicting, prosecuting, and imprisoning Saddam Hussein and other Iraqi officials who are responsible for crimes against humanity, genocide, and other criminal violations of international law."

He didn't associate him with 9/11. He said he wanted to take out all terrorist groups, not only the ones that committed acts against the US when 9/11 occurred

QUOTE(WildGriffin @ May 15 2004, 12:55 AM)
Saddam was being an asshat and not allowing access to UN inspectors, it was a different scenario this time around. They had unrestricted access to everywhere, even Saddam's palaces for like 2 months before the war was declared by Bush.

From Article:
"In a televised address, Clinton accused Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein of failing to live up to his commitment to allow unrestricted access to U.N. weapons inspectors."

so, do you not take into consideration that he disposed of his WMD's in that time period?

personally dont like Bush cuz my mom told me soemthing like if ur an resident, and ur caught driving drunk, ur gonna get sent back to ur other country...i think thats not fair...

and he shouldve never decided to go to war...

and this is why kids shouldn't be allowed to vote. they can't spell and they easily adopt their parents ideas, even though they may be confused.

Iraq did have WMD they might not have found them now because they disposed of it or hid it prior to U.S. arriving there. see http://www.usiraqprocon.org/bin/procon/pro...4000933#chemwmd

If you're gonna post links, tell me what im looking for. That site has a fair amount of USA bashing from the skim through i did. Take the time to copy/paste your facts, don't send me on random site scavenger hunts in search of facts that may support your position. That's just lazy.

QUOTE

By calling Saddam and company a WMD weilding terrorist regieme, he did associate 9/11 with Saddam. Post-9/11 was perfect timing for a president that wanted to push his country into war on shifty terms.

QUOTE

They had been planning to when Saddam was denying access. After he did allowed access, we never did enact that "Iraq Liberation Act", nor would we have unless the president lied about WMDs and associated Saddam with terrorists.

no, i'm saying i can't comprehend what you're saying because you're proabably misinterpreting what your mom said. and you make spelling errors to cap it off.

He shouldnt have gone to war? So you're saying that Saddam should be left alone in Iraq, with unsearched area which could have WMDs and biological weapons, don't take a necessary precaution?
