Hey everyone. I tried vectoring...it's harder than it looks and it looked pretty hard to start with. Well this is my first and it isn't very good. I'm not quite sure how to vector hair yet so please give me some tips!

Thank you!

The skin could be more smooth, however, it is a really good 1st vector!

Wow, you have amazing potential! Great first vector.
I really admire how you did the nose too!
However, really practice on the eyes
And I would add more depth to the hair like you did the skin.
On the skin, just think smooth, and the natural colors of her face.
If the original picture had a lot of shadow, you may want to consider picking another model with less shadows and darkness.
But amazing job!!!

I like it, except the eyes look kind of weird. The skin tone could have been a bit lighter. Everything thing else looks great!

The skin color isn`t all that great.
Maybe make it a bit lighter?
It`s good though.

The skin could me smoother and maybe blend the skin colors together, but hey! It's your first!
Practice makes perfect. flowers.gif
And THAT first is pretty neat to me.

it has alien eyes. I'm sorry. BUt you got a great start on the skin. Use the approach you did on the skin with the eyes, including the white of the eyes. And the hat. For hair, you've got to find your own style. THere are lots of tutorials on the net as well as some here on cb. it takes work, but its a good start. <3

wow that's so much better than my first! you included lots of detail and shading for your first try. the colors for the skin don't seem to go too smoothly together, but great first try.
