^ hahahaha, that's the worst "come-back" i've ever heard/seen. harold and kumar is a great movie.

i've read all four books in the twilight series and i have to agree... not much going on. it's meant to satisfy teeny-boppers and middle-aged women who have no desire to read real literature. not saying it's a bad thing, but it is what it is.

It wasn't a come-back?

I don't get what your trying to get across, but you should make it clearer. This is the internet and sometimes things can be misconstrued.

so i looked back and saw what was going on. my "come back" post wasn't directed towards you. whoever posted above me deleted their post. sorry about that.

it was directed towards rjohnson1991, whose post looked something like this:

QUOTE(rjohnson1991 @ sometime after) *
QUOTE(letsallgethigh @ Dec 9 2008, 12:31 AM) *

I never understood how people could stand this series. It's horribly written, Bella is such a Mary Sue character, Edward is such a John Doe vampire. It's just bad.

that's not saying much coming from someone who took the time to put harold and kumar in their sig

I love Alice (she's so happy all the time XD), and I'm now reading New Moon I believe, I'm a bit heart broken but It'll end good I know. As said in the movie thread, these are extremely easy to read. Only takes a few hours for each book or perhaps a few days for slower readers *shrug

There wasn't a whole lot of differences between the book and movie other than some differences in location and certain items, name changes, and new scenes, so I saw a few minutes of the movie, I was like WTF IS THIS

Then I read this and lol'd that it can be rewritten in such absurdity

In essence:

QUOTE
So, the next generation of young women are currently flocking to see a female lead starring in a movie by a female director based on a bestselling book by a female author, and in this movie the main character wants to become completely submissive and self-sacrificing for a male.

The book itself isn't bad because imagination rules, but really: vampires and romance isn't new

I love that article. When it came out I forwarded it to all my Twilight loving friends.

Twilight sucks. The books are written like they came off of fanfiction.net & the movie is so horrible I had to stop watching half-way through. I don't understand why it's so successful but the craze will die out in a few years(so I deal with it).

Oh course its going to die down, the whole harry potter thing has died down since the beginning of it.

It's only a big craze because well for one its a teenage fan base and they want to believe that stupid loves like these really exist and they fall in love with it.

I liked that article, I sent it to my boyfriend he'll get a kick out of it.

I just started New Moon, and Im on page 217 or something. Considering everyone has said they hated New Moon, I like it. Don't think it's better than Twilight (Not yet anyway whistling.gif ) since their is barely any mention of the cullens or much action scenes. I mean seriously, depression is the theme here.

I want to see more of Alice. I love her =D
she is my *edward*

Really? I'm reading New Moon as well and its killing me that Edward really isn't showing up. I'm expecting for him to pop up every time Bella decides to do something "stupid". I think my mouth literally dropped when I turned the page and only saw the name of the months stroll by. cry.gif

That made me crack up. I love Twilight. I didn't like the movie much because they left out a lot of my favorite scenes, the changed stuff around that i didn't like, and the cast in general.

Hey Edward fans, here's something for you:

Edward Cullen sparkles (THREE TIMES)! Example of when having too much time on your hands is good for fandom.

I caught on pretty late with the series and just finished reading Twilight last week O: I definitely like it, but I can't stand New Moon. It's not that boring, but I've had all this anxiety building up in me ever since Edward left. ..I'm mainly trying to read as much as possible of New Moon so I can move on to the next book, where Edward is in more.

I didn't see it, only because I was going to read it.
But I'm pretty mad that I saw the previews for it, too ._.
I wanted to come up with my own Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, etc. Now I can't really imagine it so all I picture is Rob Pattinson.

Ah, poo. The link doesn't work anymore. What was it, anyway? Haha, I can sympathize with that graph. My friends groan whenever I go to Hot Topic and can't help but rummage through the Twilight Merchandise...I disgust myself. stubborn.gif

I fixed the link, so it should work now. It's a tally of all the things Edward and Bella do. Then there's a parody of the meadow scene. It's hilarious.
