( i'm sick, forgive me if i make absolutely no sense )

my about me box won't get smaller, and my extended network bar won't get thinner. pinch.gif

i've used codes to make all of my boxes the same widths, and i've tried making my extended network bar shorter in height.
like hers --> my friend

however every time i try, it goes back to same way it was, or just screwed up entirely. i've even tried layouts with thinner extended network bars and a skinnier 'about me' section. nothing works.

here's my code

any suggestions? cry.gif thanks in advance <3

Link to your myspace and another example?
your friends myspace is set to private so we can't see it.

Well all your layouts tend to stay the same size so why don't you use this code to just make the size of all the tables smaller?

i tried that already, and the 'about me' still stayed the way it was. cry.gif

i also tried that custom skinny layout, but that didn't work either.

yeah. i'm stuck.

thanks for trying though. is there anything else i can try?

More codes I guess.
This should work:

If not:

wow.
my page must just be really stubborn.
i've tried most of those codes before, and i just tried the first one you recommended.
nothing worked. go figure pinch.gif

thanks for trying though. much appreciated. biggrin.gif

could there be something in my layout code that's preventing the widths from being changed?

Ok I put your code in my test myspace and heres what you have to do ..
You will have to take out this part:
CODE
table table table {width:300px;}
table table td.text table {width:auto;}

Then you can use this code to change the width of about me and all tables except extended network
CODE
<style type="text/css">
table table table {width:150px;}
table table table table table table {width:20%;}
</style>

Then change the width 150 to the number you want. Lastly:
CODE
<style type="text/css"> table table table td {vertical-align:top ! important;} span.blacktext12 { visibility:visible !important; background-color:transparent; background-image:url("http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c282/x___smudge/ap20uo.gif"); background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:center center; font-size:0px; letter-spacing:-0.5px; width:###px; height:25px; display:block !important; } span.blacktext12 img {display:none;}</style> </style>

where it says ### change that to the width of the rest of the tables.

It works. I tested it. I'm sorry I should of thought of this first. So you wouldn't of had to try all those codes.
