Ok, I'm doing my own DIV layout. I did some reading up on here, and I didn't quite find some of the answers I'm looking for. So, hopefully some of you out there can help me.

1. I've layed out specific spots for each category in my new layout. I used photoshop to get things the way that I'd like them to look. So, I'm using that image as my background. I've left sections for my basic info (where your user profile picture is), blurbs, stats, interests, comments, and latest blog entries. My question is, does anyone know the individual DIV codes for those sections so that I'm able to move them into the correct areas on my background?

2. Is there a way to make your comments and other sections backgrounds transparent so that my actual background is visible behind the writing?

3. My third and final question is is there a way to make sure a section is a specific height and width. I know if they go over they'll insert the scroll bars, and I don't mind the vertical scroll bars, but I don't want the horizontal ones. I want each section to fit perfectly.

I know that might seem like a lot to ask but I've been reading up on this stuff all day, and I still can't figure these things out. cry.gif

1. If it's a DIV you have to make your own positioning.

3. width:XXpx; height:XXpx; overflow:auto;

I understand that I have to make my own positioning with the DIV...by changing the numbers in it and such. What I meant was that I need the coding for each specific section so that I can alter the numbers in it to move it around For example:

<STYLE type=text/css>
.comments {width:#px; overflow: none;}
.comments table {background-color: transparent;margin-top: -3px;}
.comments td {font-color: FFFFFF; font-size: 11px; font-family: tahoma;}
table table td.text table td.text tbody table tbody td table td {display: none;}
td.text td.text table table table, td.text td.text table br, td.text td.text table .orangetext15, td.text td.text .redlink, td.text td.text span.btext {display:none;}
td.text td.text table {background-color:transparent;}
td.text td.text table td, td.text td.text table {height:0;padding:0;border:0;}
td.text td.text table table td {padding:3;}
td.text td.text table table br {display:inline;}
td.text td.text table td {font-size:0pt;}td.text td.text {height:0;}td.text td.text table b, td.text td.text table table td {font-size:8pt;}
</STYLE>

This is the code for my comment box. I found it on the help section here. I need this kind of code for the other sections I listed bc I get confused where it says all that "table table td. text table" stuff. I have no idea what that means so what I was looking for was just a code for each section, like the one posted, and then I can just alter the positioning with it. I hope that's not too much trouble. biggrin.gif

As for the third question i asked. All I have to do is change the overflow to auto in the div layer itself? Thanks again! I appreciate it.

it defines each table, if you were to look at myspace in layers it would be like

td-table-td-text etc..

and you would just put all of what you posted in the attributes (content) of the DIV layer
