Dream
Just as the rain pours You held me in your arms My hands held in yours And my eyes wide open Your voice a little shaky And your words a bit unstable Your embrace so reassuring And your touch so soothing Our eyes meet as you speak Though your words don't come out right Your lips move closer to mine As I slowly close my eyes Opening them in surprise To see it was just a dream I close my eyes hoping it'd take me Back to that same dream |
