i know most of you people really dislike the whole genre of screamo/metal/hardcore. but if anybody could please give me some tips and or paste a link on how to learn how to scream. itd be greatly appreciated! thanks alot.

so... you're saying you can't scream at all? or you just can't do it properly?

Theres a technique, i know there is ive heard bands talk about it before, its just im not sure. i know that i have to scream from my diaphragm, but just how to do it and everything.

I'm working on screaming as well. I don't sound too good, but I'm working on it. It's actually pretty hard. I mean, just do it...

um...you simply just scream but putting words into it and not trying to sound like ur squealing..i can't really explain it..but if u can't do a screamo like the first 30 tries..then it's not meant to be for u to do a screamo..

the way I do it,

I breathe in, and at the same time: grunt, make my voice raspy, scream hateful words

I don't know how I actually got to do it and I can't explain very well..but I did... I don't do most of the screamos in my band since I'm the girl...but the dude that lead sings for us can do a screamo REAL well...i'm gonna ask him on the phone

Yeah, actually there is a technique. If you dont do it right your throat will hurt and your voice will get raspy.

Have you actually clicked on any of them?
None of them give you any info, they are alll about buying a DVD on how to do it and such.
One is for neglected kids who say they have all these feelings bottled up inside and such.

Here's the tip, the voice doesn't come from the lower part of your throat. It should come from the upper part.

I've never heard there is a special technique to screaming. But I have heard(this may not be true but its what I've heard) that bands who's lead singer screams a lot have him/her drink honey after preforming songs. So maybe you could try that.

Screaming leaves you hoarse, so it'd be logical drink something to coat your throat (doesn't necessarily have to be honey).

hmm.. i asked my friend once about screaming at a show and he said, they basically put their mouth like almost on the mic and the way they hold it and then raising their vocals and it gives the screaming effect
