why do we cling on to the past, when its the future tomorrow,
and why do we hold on to the tears, pain, and sorrow ?
why do we keep the memories that always hurt us most,
and push our friends away and hold our enemies close ?
why do we always wish for more, when we've already had it all,
and we trip ourselves hoping that it will make us fall ?
why do we plan our demise, our own gruesome end,
and even when no one judges us, ourselves we condemn ?
why do we go to church, seeking for redemption,
and yet we jump at every chance, ready to commit sin .
why do we complain when we already have it good ?
and nobody treats each other like everybody should .
why is everything we say just another paradox,
and nobody's ever listening because all we do is talk .
why dont we love our possesions and cherish our other halves ?
why dont we ever take the time to appreciate what we already have ..
