Is it just Aim or do other applications do it as well?

At some point, i found that my Belkin router would drop WEP connections a lot more than WPA. Do you know what type of security your network uses? (wep or wpa)

Depending on your setup, the layout of your house, and your physical proximity and position relative to the wireless router, you may get periodic outages of network service.
