When did I first to jpop? Since I actually come from a korean culture you see japanese stuff around a lot as well... So when i was 9 and when i went to korea I listened to my first jpop song ^^. It was an artist I can't remenber!!

Rebecca here =) I live in so cali too (for the time being, I'm actually moving to Pittsburgh in July). You'll hear me talk about my little boy a lot, so don't get terribly annoyed with that. ;) His name is Israel Shakespeare (yeah, I know he'll kill me one day - but I'll keep telling him that it'll get him dates with the creative writing/drama chicks in high school :P)
Israel and I watch Ranma 1/2 religiously - I have volumes 1,2,3 and a mixed 'tape' of sorts. My favorite character is the "eternal lost boy" Ryouga (P-Chan woot!). I also love love Shampoo, gotta love an anime Chinese Amazon. I enjoy the series both with and without English dub which is somewhat of a rarity for me. I also like Vampire Hunter D and Cowboy Bebop. My son loves the Dragonball series (all three) but I admit that although it's entertaining at times, it's not my favorite series. We also love Pokemon (yea yeah, scoff all you want). We just got all of season one (which is my favorite). I always thought Ash and Misty would hook up, but oh well. My favorite Pokemon is Bulbasaur. I love that aggro creature. I used to read James/Jesse fan fics.  OH, and Vampire Princess Miyu rocks. There's a little about yours truly =) (NO idea what my Otaku member number is ;) ) |

Hey Rebecca, welcome to Anime Otakus! I loooove Ranma 1/2 it was one of those animes I used to be obsessed with. Cowboy Bebop would be one of my all time favorites too ^_^.

Ranma 1/2 is classic! I love it. I love the sorta of love/ahte tension between Akane and Ranma. It's great.
Spike from Cowboy Bebop it hot. End of story. Yay for Rebecca! Coolest mom EVARRRRRRRRRR. |

Ranma and Akane are the classic anime "Han and Leia" for me. I hated the way the series ended so abruptly and left them in romantic limbo. I read that Rumiko Takahashi never intended for them to ever consummate their relationship though. What a tease.
