Well, I'm currently making this layout, but right now, I'm working on the banner/blend. What do I need to add or take away? I need some comments and critique, so what do you think? (btw, I'm using Jasc PSP 7)
Edit: Image has been improved - now what do you think?

I love it! But the only thing that bothered me was that you have a lot of different colors that don't seem to blend together well. The brown used with her outfit don't seem to look that good. That's just my opinion though. Change some of the colors?? If you want.

Orange does not go with brown.
 The orange and the brown melding together in the brush work for the blog area really irks me. Also, the bottom of the picture of her face isn't blnded at all, there's thi ugle straight line here. The smaller text should be overlay/soft light so it's a little less noticable and it doesn't distract from the main title. I's also suggest maybe going with the orange instead of the brown, it seems more flowy. The brown seems slight random, if I may say so. So yeah.&before you think I hate it, I just think it could be improved. It's nice, but not fantastic. |

It's good, but theres something awkward about it, maybe the picture of Sayuri at the bottom of the blend doesn't match the mood?

Thank you so much - I got rid of the one picture near the bottom, got rid of the orange, drew more attention to the title, & blended better. Now what do I need to improve. (I appreciate this guys)

The brushes have lines. Or they have very faint lines. And that kinda sort is slightly unnvering. I still say the less importanttext should be lower opacity, not full on. 50% would be good. The random Chinese character is just that, random. I dislike it. Other than that, it's great.

I can read it. &it's still a Chinese character.
S'kanji. &it's more like the placement that's random. It's going to get covered, so there's no point in having it there. Over the image might be better, or between the profile and blog areas.

i think the orange border and the person between the jp lady and the title shouldnt be there at all or lowered in opacity, maybe? and the lower left blog area looks chopped off and so does the area between profile and blog. besides that, i really love it! especially around that jp lady!

Its nice. But for some reason it seems a bit awkward . Try some more blends and as many other said try colors that blend nicely . But it is better than anything i can do . good job.
