comment boxes in div overlays, manual submit button not working.. Options

Hey, ive been using this site for a loonnggg time now and i had never really needed any help but unfortunately now i do

Ive been having some trouble with adding a comment box to my profile, i am currently using a div overlay and unfortunately, when i try to use the manual submit button i found in a tutorial on this site, it seems to think that i want to submit a comment, when what i want to do is submit the changes to my profile.
