After looking for themes for my next layout, I couldn't find one mad.gif and decided to turn to brushes instead. I know, it's unoriginal, but I was just so desperate for something new to ring in the new year ( cry.gif ). So here it is..

Comments and criticism, nice or mean, are always welcome. Please and thank you.

I use safari, and its misaligned. it has your banner, then your content off to the right then this big red box under your content going down forever.
The actual banner is ok I think its just the navigation that sorta looks weird but yea its ok otherwise.

Yupp in firefox your image is left-justified instead of centered. But in IE the layout works, it's just a little hard to read - I think it needs more contrast, you have two really dark colors and it's a little tough on the eyes. There's a horizontal scrollbar too, in the content box. It cuts off the last part of the date and makes clutter, so you should consider trying to get rid of that. But I really like the idea and the header image is really pretty. The whole thing is something I haven't seen, so that gets points in my book. :)

Misalighned in just about everything except IE. Your links are very hard to read and too many scroll bars.

I think it's a good start, but as noted, it is misaligned in non-IE browsers (I tested it in Safari). Also, the content area is fairly small, and there's a large, blank red area at the bottom. Why not fill that blank area with content instead?

Here's an image of the page in Safari:
