Hey here is a story i wrote last monday when i started school ..well here goes
The Candy One day I was watching TV and my mom came in and told me to go do my homework. I was like, "Come on! TV is so much more important than homework!" But she just gave me this "look"... you know which one I mean. So I wandered back to my room... but I didn't exactly start my homework right away. I, uh... kind of got sidetracked. Because, you see, I got this rumble in my stomach... not a big rumble because then I would have gone to make a sandwich. It was just a little rumble. So I opened my desk drawer to look for something to munch on. Hmm, a rubber ball, a pink pen, some old toenail clippings, and... aha! A small wrapped up piece of candy... just what I'm on the mood for! So I had just unwrapped the piece of candy and was lifting it up to my mouth when I heard this small voice say, "Oh. My. Gosh. You so did not just take off my wrapper!" "Uh, excuse me???" The piece of candy said, "That's right! You heard me! You have dared to remove the wrapper of me! Now you shall feel the wrath of the candy!" Now I just couldn't take it anymore; I burst out laughing! I mean, come on... a talking piece of candy? And one who was theatening me, at that! Yeah, right! I must be hungrier than I thought. So I said, "Well I only took it off because I WAS GOING TO EAT YOU!" The candy raised its eyebrows and rolled its eyes. "Okay, yeah, I guess I can't really do the mean sarcastic thing." "Yeah, that's what I'm thinking," said the piece of candy. "Okay, you know what?" I said, "I don't care what you think... so I'm, like, gonna eat you!" Then I proceeded to lift the piece of candy up to my mouth. "Hah! I knew you'd try and eat me! Hehe, just wait until your tummy gets a load of me!" The candy snickered. My hand stopped about one inch away from my mouth and I asked the piece of candy, "What do you mean? Are you an old, stale piece of candy, or something?" The candy gave an evil laugh and said, "If only you knew! Mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!" Okay, now I started to get scared. Not really scared, but that scared feeling that comes from the pit of your stomach when you know you're about to make a really stupid desicion. "Okay, I think that we've established the fact that you are more than you seem... now, can you tell me what exactly is going on right now?" "Okay," said the candy, "That I can do. Well, to start off, you don't like candy." "WHAT?!" I yelped. This was news to me! "That's right! You heard me! You do not, in any way, like candy. So if you eat me, your tummy is going to be very upset. And then you will have to take some of that medicine for sore tummies that says it tastes like bubblegum (even though we all know it tastes like chalk!)." "You do have a point... WAIT! You're trying to trick me!" "No, I'm not." "Yes, you are!" "No, I'm not." "Yes, you are!" "No, I'm not!" "YES YOU ARE!" Then it hit me. I was arguing with a piece of candy! Something was very wrong with that. "Okay, you are a very sinister piece of candy who plays mean mind games, whom I refuse to fight with," I spat out. "I'm sinister? When you are the one who is yelling?" "There! You're doing it again!" "Doing what, my friend?" The candy gave me an innocent look. Oh my, I thought. I am being tricked into thinking that I do not like candy... by a piece of candy, nonetheless! How odd is this?! "Okay, don't 'my friend' me! You are a piece of candy! A piece of candy that I was going to eat, I might add. And that is exactly what I am now going to do!" The candy actually looked scared for a moment. Then he got this look in his eye and he whispered, "Well, if that's really what you want," and he gave me a sad puppy dog look. "Uh, sure it's what I want..." My mind was reeling. Did I really want to eat this piece of candy? I needed to think of all the possibilitiesthat could happen if I were to eat him... and if I didn't. Well, if I were to eat him, one of two things could happen. Either my stomach would accept the piece of candy and digest it properly, or my stomach would reject it and give me an awful tummy ache. Then I would have to take some of that awful medicine that says it tastes like bubblegum (even when I know that it tastes like chalk!). And I don't think my tummy likes chalk, so I would have to lie to my tummy. I would say, "Here tummy, tummy, tummy. I have some nice bubblegum. So then i said what the heck and ate the candy and felt a wave a full satisfaction. THE END ![]() |
