For some reason I am having trouble with a private script I found here in the scripts forum for my Xanga. I input all the user names in my "protected list" for the private blogging script. Then I made a protected entry with the same protected list of user names who should be able to comment. Some of them are having problems being able to comment. Can anyone tell me what may be conflicting in the private script here at Xanga referenced above that is not wanting to work with the same names added for my "protected list?" blink.gif

I'd like to not have to worry about a 'protected list' period and just have a script set up so that only certain people could entry my Xanga, however, I tried the blocked user's script here and that didn't work either. People could see my Xanga and get in so I had to start making protected entries. [sigh] wacko.gif

I'd suggest you to use the private blogging script, but try to delete your protected list first. That might be the problem that is conflicting with the script.

Thanks, I'll try that and see what happens.

Tried that, bad result. When I remove my posts from being protected and use only the private blogger's script that allows you to supposedly only list those you want to view your Xanga, it is allowing other people who are not on that list to view my Xanga.

Suggestions anyone? This is actually kind of strange to me, to have a script for private blogging that allows "anyone" beyond the names you've specifically listed to view your Xanga.

How can I securely lock up my Xanga for subscribers only? Would it just be to have protected posting only? Or would putting up a password script be better since you couldn't enter the Xanga until you had the correct password?
