Ok, im going to try to make this as short as possible. There is this girl Steph at school, I met her and started talking to her in math class last year, (i really started liking her then) and at the time i started liking her, i was hooking her up with my good friend Dan but i never told her i liked her. For a while, whenever he wasnt around, we were very close and could talk about anything. anyway, so they start going out, and being my shy self, i never say anything. (i still like her sooo much to this day) anyway, those two are still going out.

So this year, this past monday after school, when dan was absent, she comes up to me and tells me she has to talk to me. She tells me that she has a problem and it is that she has a crush.......on me. yea. So then she leaves and says she will call me later to talk to me. We talk and she says that she really likes me and she still likes dan but shes kind of upset because she has liked me and if i go to college, and shes with him, then she may never get the chance to know what could have been between us. So she says she is really confused. Now, after that call, my mind is racing trying to understand things myself. I write her a note telling her how i feel and how i have felt and yada yada. then i call her the next night and we talk again..

i ask her the question of how long she has liked me. she told me when i first came to the high school, i was in her gym class, she never talked to me in there but she got her crush there. Then when we started talking in that math class she started to reallly like me. (and in the computer class the following semester w/o dan) Now, in that gym class, i never even knew she was in it, and i hadnt talked to her in that class that year! then the next year in the math class, she was the first one i noticed, and thought was cute so i started talking to her and really got to liking her. anyway, back to our conversation, she said she really wanted to go out with me. but she also still likes (just likes) dan and she is starting to think he doesnt like her anymore even though he says he does. She is still so confused and so am i. I am trying to help both of us, but i told here that basically, she has to talk to someone else, tell them how she feels, and let them help her decide what to do.

(another thing, her family IS IN LOVE WITH ME. thats because she talks about me all the time to them (she told me this, ive only met her mom and that was once like 2 weeks ago, so obviously she is really into me)) now i dont know what to do. See, fromt he time we started talking, we were able to talk like we had known each other for years and we were always really close. The spark was always there (3 years for her) but i never knew because she wont express her liking for someone unless they express it to her. So she never expressed it to me because i never said anything because i am shy and dont show it well.

OK, WHAT DO WE/SHE/I DO!??!

Dan is my good friend, but im at a point where i dont care because ive liked her for so long and we have always been so close. i dont want to screw him over, but then again i really want to be with her because ive liked her for a long time and we have always gotten along so well. help!
