i got bored, relized i need a layout for my new site.. and decided to make it.. i dont have hosting yet, so i decided to use freewebs.com

its nothing special, i dont even really think its that great.. but tell me what you think

oh, and as you can see, i ahve no content up yet

I must say, it's definitely a change from the usual red and black. :P A couple of suggestions:

The logo at the top is in sort of an awkward place. Maybe move it down to one of the bottom corners of the main content box?
The text is a little hard to read, and it's primarily because the background interferes a little. Maybe the content boxes should be more opaque.
Default links? I just don't like the default blue underlined links. Pick something that matches (red, orange, dark gray..?) and do a hover effect, I like those.

Have you extended the text to make sure the scrollbar works? That might be a good idea, add a few entries so you can see the scrollbar working.

Again, there's definitely progress here. Keep working at it! :)

Okay, well I don't really like either one. The 2nd is nicer than the first but still not all that great.

Keep at it.
