I really like one of my guys friends and have been planning on how to make him realize i am interested. I figured since there is a dance coming up I would buy a fabulous dress and ask him for a dance or two ok or ten. Then, today he announces he doesn'tfeel like going to the dance!!! Has a guy ever done this to anyone else? Completely destroyed their well thoughtout plan that is?

i completely know what you mean! when i was planning to tell the guy i'm seeing that i want more, i had it all thought out. we'd be cuddling on his couch or in his bed which is normal then i'd climb on top of him in a flirty way and tell him...but i ended up getting really, really nervous while in his car and kind of blurting it out making everything really awkward...
you can still get him to go to the dance. just be all "it's going to be so fun" and stuff like that. |

i've had that happen to a friend of mine, but the other way around. he asked this girl to our winter formal, and she said yes. later on, she turned him down saying that she couldn't go, but at the formal, she showed up with a senior.

yes, it was pretty much disappointing, my bf and i were going to watch a movie in his room, so i figured it'll only be the both of us. thinking that we could cuddle and all that good stuff, but it turns out that his sister is also going to be in there watching the movie. she sat behind us the whole time it was awkward

I had some girl do that once. She didn't want to go to the Homecoming Dance, and neither did I, so I asked her to see a movie that night. She was really excited...but then the Sunday before the dance, she changed her mind and decided to go, and cancelled our plans. Then she changed her mind again and decided not to to the dance...but we ended up not going to see the movie.

aw, I'm sorry that happened to yah. But you can bounce back from this, since he doesn't "feel" like going to the dance, why don't you just ask him to go with you? I don't think he'd have a problem with that.
You should just go for it, and see what he says. And if you are too shy, then there always is next time. There are other dances, other opportunities to show him you care =) |
