^i agree. jewelry usually isn't the best choice. something you know that the girl you're giving a present to would like is the best way to go.

girls are really picky on scents too. make her something or just get her something she's been having her eye on for ages (unless it's too expensive)

Depends on how well you know the girl (ie: is she just a friend, or a girlfriend?)
Get her something she needs or wants (unless it's really expensive). Get her a stuffed animal. Or, you can make her something, girls (or at least I do) like it if they get something handmade because it shows that you took time out to make it. |

I wouldn't mind a nice pair of gloves or a cute hat myself.
Or if you want to go the jewelry route, check out stores like Claire's and the Icing. Cute stuff but extremely cheap. |
