It was a great movie, but the boy could have done better. He starved just because he didn't want to work for money. He could have, but he was just too stupid to think what would happen to his sister if he didn't.
Sad, but the real sad point is that he didn't do anything to try to get them out of the situation. |

He left his relative's house becuase of his pride..gosh dangit suck up your pride for your sister! ... yeah I cried..... it was a real "bash-America" movie with the whole nuclear Hiroshima situation. I guess we kinda of deserved that with our Pearl Harbor movie come to think of it. |

very good movie but sad one also
happy to see such stuff i m emotional so cried little bit sis was really CUTE.. now it come under one of my favourite anime movie. |

My favorite part was when they were firebombing the Japanese village. It was all downhill from there. The rest of the movie was just the little girl whining, and the boy promising he'd protect her.
