I'm shaking and beaten

Cold and near dead

I step in the shower

And the water runs red

I take in this feeling

But water can't clean me

Not this

I feel dirty all over

It won't wash away

I scrub and I scrub

But the feeling, it stays

The burning memory

What you did

And it's wrong

I dress to go to bed

But I stay up all night long

Sleep comes in the morning

With you haunting my dreams

The fear in my heart

And your angers all I see


I walk down the street

And I wonder

Can anyone see?

Can they tell what I've been through?

Do they know what has been?

Or are they happy, ignorant?

Just like me, before that night...
