Are you sure you're using the Eraser and not the Healing Brush/Color Replacement?

Are you sure it's an eraser? Check the stats of your earse. Like the FLOW and such. And make you're using the block eraser or pencil erase, the brush ones don't work that well =P IDK what's up.. maybe you've got a glitch in photoshop.
