I always have this problem... there's the code I used for my new layout. Everytime I make a new layout, the blog always has that d-mn horizontal scrollbar that won't go away. I know I have to resize my blog some way but I've tried everything... mind helping? wacko.gif

right after your scrollbar stuff, place this code:
overflow-x:hidden;
That works in IE. If you want further help, please place the link to the site.

the link is in my signature.. http://www.xanga.com/walmartlady

I don't just want the horizontal scrollbar to go away.. because I know how to do that.. I just want it to fit right.. with the scrollbars. I remember with my past layouts, someone said I had to resize something.. and I did, and it worked. I just can't get that to work this time.

In the part that edits your blog, try to use "padding-left: -10px" instead of just "padding:0px"

If you're editing either the entry footer or the date bar, it's size must be proportional to the blog size. Here's the other answer....
QUOTE
Q: The horizontal scrollbar for my blog is so annoying! How do I get rid of it?
A: Make the width in this part of the CSS stylesheet smaller, this will make your blogging space (not your div layer) smaller, so you won't have to scroll horizontally.
CODE
table.blogbody {
/* this edits the other the place where the  blog is */
background-color:transparent;
family-font: FONT FAMILY;
BORDER: #COLOR CODE #px solid;
width:###px; /*<-- make the number you entered for the width here smaller*/}

Try making your blog header a little smaller... sometimes I have to make mine a good 10-15 px smaller than the div width.

^ just to see, widen the div layer by like 100px, just to see if the scrollbar will go away. If it does, then it is somehow curable. Believe it or not, I had a problem with xanga like this on my old site. No matter what I would do, the scrollbar would show up.

Okay, I did that.. and it worked.. but when you click on the add comments and stuff.. the vertical scrollbar is outside of the box.. how do you make the blog smaller.. When I change the table.blogbody's width, I don't see a change, I even tried to put 100px, and it doesn't change.
