Hiya...
I'm just recustomizin my xanga and thought of puttin a background on my blog entries. That isnt a problem.
But i want the background to 'fade' a bit. I 've used:
filter: alpha (opacity=??, finishopacity=??, style=?)
but the writin also fades with the background. How do i only get the background to fade and not the writin?
Also, is there other alternatives to the word 'alpha' on that code?

Hope someone could help me.
Thank _smile.gif

There really isn't a way to do that with just the picture and not the text, unfortunately. Still haven't figured that one out...

Translucent .gif image set as you're background - about 1oopx by 1oopx - repeat in all directions.
That way, it's translucent but the words aren't

Meaning you can create a .gif image that can be a little transparent and use that as your background image. Then, no filter code is needed. Thing is, paint won't do anything like that.
