I've been on unofficial hiatus way too long. I realized that about twenty-four hours ago, and now you see the results.

Total revamp of the site, front and back end. Most of the time I just change the CSS; this time I started "from scratch."

And so I give you, unwritten version 7: Anachronism.

I like the simplicity design you were going for. I love the background.
However, I think the banner looks out of place. Can't really explain it, but it looks that way.

Thanks! you totally made my day. I'm not sure where I got the background... it's one of those things I saw online, saved it, and ended up using it six months later! I've been trying to find it again so I could give credit.

Me either. But I guess not everyone is as good as a webdesigner as you are. But it makes me happy, so that's all that matters.

Oh! and about it being misaligned in Safari... (is that browser for general use or is it just for Mac? Can I download and use it with windows?) I have a code that makes something only for IE (like, if your image is aligned in FireFox but one pixel off in IE, you would insert this:

and it would adjust the margin JUST for IE viewers.) Do you know how I would do something like that for Safari to adjust it?

I like it, but it isn't super-amazing. The background pattern is nice, but the color is a bit too bright. It reminds me of candy. I dunno, maybe it's because anachronism reminds me of anarchy, which reminds me of blood... yeah.

Why does the background extend around another 1000px, when there's no text there? Coding maybe?

I like the avatars though. Some of them are really neat. :)

It looks great in 800x600, but in a higher resolution the red kind of overpowers the content. Good job on the organization though, the sidebar incorporates well and isn't distracting. :)

Hmm... I designed it in 1024x768... and it didn't look overpowering to me... oh well :) I didn't expect it to be perfect.

Ah.. I looked at it in 1024x768, it still looks good.. My fault for using an even higher resolution than that. I guess that doesn't count. :P

ohhh, that's alright. I'm jealous... my monitor doesn't go up any higher than 1024. I bought my laptop before I got into the webdesign thing... lol
