Since Halloween is coming up, today we'll be learning how to make Grilled Cheese and Bacon Sandwiches. I found this recipe in my Barbie Party Cookbook which I never got a chance to look at til now. And this sounded rather appetizing so I'll just post it up.

Heres the Ingredients:
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 pound of Chedder, American, or Muenster cheese
- 16 slices of wheat or white bread
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) of butter, softened for spreading

Here are the Utensils:
- Roasting Pan
- Large skillet
- Spatula
- Paper towels
- Measuring spoons
- Tongs
- Kinfe for chopping

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

2. Arrange the bacon in one layer in the roasting pan. Bake in oven until crisp, about 10 minutes. Ask an adult to remove and place on a counter. With the tongs transfer the hot bacon to paper towels to drain. An adult should pour off the oil in the pan.

3. With the knife cut the cheese into slices.

4. Butter all of the bread on 1 side and arrange on a counter butter side down.

5. On half the slices, layer half the cheese. Break a slice of bacon in half and lay over cheese. top with remaning cheese. Make sandwiches with the remaining bread, butter side up. Press down to flatten.

6. In the large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Cook the sandwiches over low heat, 2 or 3 at a time. When the bottom side is golden and crisp, turn over with the spatula. These cook quickly, about 2 minutees per side, so be careful not to blacken. Add a bit more butter to the pan if the bread is burning.

7. With the spacula, tranfer to plates and cut in half. Keep warm in a 200 degree oven.

Serves up to 8 people

Good luck guys happy.gif
