I've never skipped school, but I've cut some classes. After the AP USH exam, I cut the rest of school and spent the day with my boyfriend. Other times, if the teacher is absent, and the sub has already taken attendence, I would. But normally, I don't cut school or any class.

I would call in sick to the school but go other places, but not around the school to other classes. That would be really stupid.. going to other classes INSIDE the school? If the teacher were sane, wouldn't they ask you what the heck you were doing inside their classroom, and shouldn't YOU be inside your own class? That'd happen at my school.. I don't skip much, but if when I do I'd go somewhere cool atleast.

yea i can't ditch school.

my parents check that my car is in the lot, because my space's right beside the road they go by to get to work.

my school has an electronic attendance thing, so they know why you miss just one class and you weren't supposed to.

yea.

not that there's anything i'd actually do.

are you crazy?
first of all, it's not like you write a pass to, "i gotta go to starbucks" or something. teachers are in the halls at my school, and the front office is right in front of the door, so. yeah. you couldn't even get outside without teachers asking first.

you guys are wierd for ditching school.
kind of stupid thing to do.  stubborn.gif

Well usually, the teachers don't even care if you walk out. Students have free blocks, too, and the school lets you leave school early or go to the plaza near the school to hang out.

My school is really strict about cutting.

We have those. Right after school, the computer finds who missed class without a pass and automatically call my home phone to leave a message that "Your child has cut class". I cut once and tried to beat my parents home so I could erase the message, but I was too late. _dry.gif Never again.

I meant walking out of the school. Not walking out of class in the middle of a lecture, haha. Of course the teachers don't encourage skipping.

Actually...I tried that once. It was during Planning and I really didn't feel like doing the assignment, and I forged a note saying I had to leave early. Of course, it helped that we had a sub that day.

^ Some kids DO walk out of class. I don't know HOW they do it. I wouldn't do that.

--

Oh yesterday my friend and I decided to go to jack in the Box (two blocks away from school) and skip third period. I was soo hungry. We exited out this one door and we got caught.

Security: AYE AYE AYE!!
Me: Yeah?
Security: What do you think you're doing?
My friend: We're going to our lockers!
Security: Your locker is OFF campus???
My friend: No. We just wanted to go out this way and go thru the main entrance to cut traffic..
Security: Uh huh. I'm to let you off the hook. I'm going to be walking around and if I see you out, YOU'RE SUSPENDED!

Ahaha my friend and I didn't want to back to class because our teachers HATE late people and if the lady saw us int he halls, we would be SUSPENDED soooo.. we decided to hide in the bathroom for 50 minutes. it was actually FUN. rofl.

No, but it's VERY easy at my school. We have open campus so teachers don't question you if you go outside, and we don't have security. Even if you do get caught, they don't even call your parents, you just get a detention.

Never ditched a class before. It's too hard - my mom stays home while my dad works, so she's ALWAYS there, and if we're not in a class, the school calls home and says we were absent from whatever classes. And I'm a terrible liar, I could never pull anything off. And we'd have to make up all of that work - ugh. I don't really think it's worth it. My goal is to skip atleast something before I graduate, though. I'll need the two yeard to get enough balls to do it.

Lorena - LOL! Nice. I have walked out of class before, but only in the last couple of minutes when we were just standing around waiting for the bell to ring anyway.

So you're not even allowed to go OUTSIDE the school to reenter the building so as to avoid traffic? Damn, that must suck...the good thing about our school is that there are two buildings, the north and the south, and you pretty much are forced to walk outside to get to classes in another building.

I can't. Too many securities and there are gates everywhere. We could only ditch when it is like the first few and the last few periods because people come and leave school at different periods.
There is this electronic attendance thing too so it will show how many absences haven't been cleared.
Also, my friends are goody goody too so they don't ditch. If they don't ditch (we come and leave school at the same periods), so I have nowhere to go.

edit: we get points off our grade for being absent, even if you are sick.

I NEVER ditch any classes for my own sake. It doesn’t matter anyways, every gate is close. There’s no way out unless I climb and trespass over the drain but i'm afraid of flood. ermm.gif

haha same here. It's not so much that I'm scared too, it's just that it goes down on our transcript (yeah my school is weird, they mark down every detention) and I kind of dont want any detentions on my transcript if possible.

Meh, I "skip" mornings other classes have test and I don't, but my mom lets me. Half the school does, so i don't think they bother to count it as unexcused. Then there was that 8th grade thing...but that doesn't count

Me and my homegirl used to do it most of the week until the school started getting strict or whatever.
The teachers started checking restrooms after every bell ring and whenever you were absent for 3 or more days, they call your house.
I actually thought the school gone crazy but it was my last year there anyways. biggrin.gif
