yes. i think if you knew how every molecule would interact, and what that would cause, you could know the future.

^ Yea, I think a lot of people who label themselves are doomed to repeat the same coined phrase: "I was homosexual since I was..." Honestly, I don't remember being attracted to boys or girls until around age eight or nine. And like Frankie says, I believe a lot of it was cultural rather than personal prefrence. We don't just suddenly like coke and refuse to taste anything else do we?

No.

Puuuuberrrrrtyyyyy. Yes, exactly, you started being attracted to the opposite sex when your hormones interacted!

Why don't you people read my posts...I'm explaining your thoughts quite nicely.

he's saying that going through puberty is the factor that makes someone gay... that theory is almost true but there are some stuff to bring that theory down

It is unlikely, however, that sexuality does not develop until adolescence; children as young as a few months old display some attributes of sexuality. When a particular sexuality (hetero-, homo- bi-) is cemented may not occur until later, but it is inaccurate to say sexuality doesn't even develop until adolescence.

Well, no, but the actual attraction doesn't start until then. Gender is just another factor of attraction, like hair color or body type. When you were a kid, you weren't attracted to anyone in particular, right?

^ I like your theory about cultural influences. I know my first crush was in 1st grade and he was a typical texan ideal of a 1st grade crush. But as my tastes change and logic overcomes cutltural influences, I am not attracted to men like my 1st grade crush. So I think you have a point about Gender just being another factor as hair color or body type.

WORD! you don't choose it, it happens. you don't choose to be straight, ur straight cuz ur attracted to somone of the opposite sex and NOT of the same sex. once the world can get it through their damn head, then omg, THE END OF HOMOPHOBIA! if u take psychology u'll learn shit like this im doin it right now.

in fact, over the weekend our teacher had us do an assignment where we had to put our sexuality away, like hide it for 24 hours. u cannot make any sexual references, show any attractivness to the opposite sex, ANYTHING. it was hard. afterwards we learned that it's the same exact thing heterosexual people are making homosexuals do with the attempted banning of gay marriage laws and such.

Yes I agree it happens, but I think the question is how?
I do respect your views on homophobia but can you address the concern on being "born gay" or the case of hermaphrodites?

For those that think people are not born gay, would this also apply to straight people as well? So people are born neutral?

^ You should read Frankie's argument about cultural influences. I think maybe it is by choice in most instances, but that doesn't exclude chemical "imbalances" for lack of a better word.

Where shall I find this arguement? As for the choosing to be gay, would anyone honestly choose to be gay? Also, how would it BE possible to actually CHOOSE?
