I encourage you guys to make more div overlay layouts. You all should know how; I'd say my tutorial in Myspace Help is pretty good.
Perhaps you could submit the div overlays? I don't know about you, but I think the quality of a lot of our Myspace layouts is low due to the limitations Myspace presents. Cmon guys, make our site better. |

Do it the way you do image mapping.
Open the image up in Paint and use the Paintbrush. At the bottom right corner of the window, there will be numbers. The first is the left alignment and the second is the top. It's really simple. |

I would love to submit overlay layouts, but I don't think enough ppl know how to hide all the regular stuff and would get confused about what to do with it. |

lol and inevitably...first question. i've been trying to figure out this div overlay thing for the longest time but to no avail...(yes i've read the tutorials etc). what would be really helpful is if there was a step-by-step tutorial starting with the codes to hide everything, then whatever you need for the div overlay...like, i can find bits and pieces but it never works because i don't know the whole process. if anyone could ever get around to that it would help a lot of us out (and answer tons of questions)!

I have one. overlay layouts are a lot easier than having to configure all the other already-coded shit. being able to just cover something is like having a blank canvas lol

Well when you submit one you tell them.. and I'ts common. People need extra help. So just get used to sort of helping then its not such a hard thing.

Div Overlays themselves are not hard... its the compiling part that screws me up... when i put too many divs in one code, it gets confusing to look at. postitioning is off sometimes, which drives me nuts. What i think would be useful, is if we have a base code. like a series of divs with three modules... Banner or title module would be rectangular on top, two Nav and Content modules vertically positioned under the title... thats my idea of it.. add some dropshadows and maybe some borders... thats my idea but i dont know if i know how to compile them in one place correctly... so i think a base code would be just what we need if anyone can come up with it.
