No module layout, Why is it acting this way? Options

I'm terribly sorry if someone asked a question similar to this one .. I looked around but I couldnt see a question that has to deal with this. I'm making my own layout .. but this one has no modules or anything .. just blogs and information about me. When I looked at other people's xanga sites .. theirs seemed to be perfect but mine comes out really weird .. here, i'll show you

if you can see .. the colors in my information box comes out okay. but it has no scrollbar.

in this one .. it came out perfectly but the words in there are just plain black and i cant do anything about it .. and the bold part is just totally messed up. this is the code I used for the one WITHOUT the scrollbar
