I was at the dentist one day and this question came out of pure randomness. Still, its a good question.

i said open wide because you open your mouth first before they tell you its going to hurt but i could be wrong?

i hate going to the dentist.

i didnt vote because the answer i was going to say wasnt there.

most likely they would say open wide and then say this may hurt a bit, but dont worry.

or something to that effect.

Hmmm...that IS a good question. haha It took me awhile to answer that but I think he most likely said to open wide...I think. It's been weeks since I've been to the dentist.

And he didnt really say 'this will only hurt a bit' because my mouth was numb but I felt a lil pain. So it wasnt that bad.

Mostly likely open wide. then once he gets ready to drill, he'd say the other line.

Eh, they just tell me "Open wide!" when I come.
Because I have braces, they need to take out the bands at stuff.

My dentist always tells me to "open wide." I don't think he's ever told me that it's going to hurt a bit...

Eek, open wide. IMO, the two bad words that a bad dentist would ever say to a nervous dental patient.

Usually they'd just go, "Open wide, and let me see those pearly whites"
