i get called a chink and i'm viet. it makes me really upset because no matter WHAT you are, if you look a hint of asian, narrow minded people wil look at you and do their whole "ching-chong" crap. it bugs the heck outta me.

Ha! Sorry--I know it's kind of immature, but I have a number of Asian friends, and my friends make a lot of jokes like that to them, too. I'm even in an Asian-awareness group at my school, and the Asians in that group often makes to each other in the same manner. My personal suggestion is to just go with the flow. Not only can it be a good thing to laugh at yourself, but your friend probably doesn't intend to be mean. At any rate, if you don't get offended, he might even just stop on his own. However, I can understand how you could get offended, so if you really are offended, why don't you tell him that you don't appreciate the jokes? I tease some of my friends sometimes, but if I knew that if I really offended one of them, I'd feel bad and I'd stop.

Oh gawd. I'm really good with this. i've been going w/ the flow without causing major problems. I say alot of positive things in a calm dramatic voice which supposely be negative. When that person is giving you a wierd expression, laugh it off .. like you're not paying much attention and you're just being a normal person who truly dont know how to handle things serouisly. That's me. I cant explain it better but ... i know how to deal w/ it in real life.

If I had to pick a continent where the people looked the best and just were awesome it would be Asia. You think I'm kidding? I'm serious. I wish I was asian. They got that perfect skin, and hair and they all look like models, and their eyes are gorgeous. If I can't have kids, I would adopt an asian baby. They're the cutest!
So...who cares what that person says. Be proud you're asian! Because I wish I was...  It's true though: Asia has a longer life expectancy, and the people look younger longer. So while that dude is making fun of you, laugh in their face. Serisouly though, I envy asian beauty. LoL I must sound so weird. It's true though, but seriously if anyone is making fun of you because of what you are then they're not worth you even looking at them. They're just stupid, and there are a lot of stupid people in this world who will say mean things...*sigh, it's very sad, actually |
