I dont know if this has been posted before but I have been without my iPOD for about a month and a half now
 .You see every time I plug my iPOD into my computer iTUNES shuts down. I have only about 300 something songs for my 1000 fitted iPOD so what can it be? please help me!

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes?

Update the iPod's software, keep it plugged it, and restart it (hold down Menu and Select).
