has anyone ever encountered a similar problem with CB?

my computer will only allow me to view the lt page of a thread. if i try to view any other page, i one of those 'internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close' message things...

has anyone ever dealt with anything like that? if so, how?

also, i may as well say that im going to be around CB a LOT less now... school has started and i've put on my extracuricular hat... im leading debating, have been voted managing director of a young enterprise company, and been elected to the sixth form council... plus, im working backstage on the next drama production, as well as acting in a seperate play...

plus, thos enasty classes keep getin gin their way, with homework spawning all over the plac enad making life unhappy...

but if i get this problem fixed, then i will hopefully be back at weekends...

MY computer doesn't do that with threads, but every time I try to view the "members" button (next to the search button) it gets the message you do.

Mine won't shut down, it just wont load, it'll stay on the same page as it was before. Of course, I'm using firefox so there might a slight difference.

Your posts were interesting to read....

James, use Firefox. biggrin.gif

Yeah, the Members page has stopped working. Probably due to the large amount of them?

I don't get that problem but on a few occasions, it won't load the next page for me. I'm using Firefox which, in my opinion, is much better than Internet Explorer wink.gif

That happens to me a few times.
What I do is check my connection, and restart computer.
If that doesn't work, I ask my dad to fix my computer.
And if that doesn't work, download FireFox or something.

well, the two buttons on cb that never work for me is the "overall top posters" button, and the "members" button.
they haven't worked for awhile now.
and as for the posts/threads thing, i don't usually get that problem.

1. Delete all your Cookies/History & Offline websites saved.
2. Watch your firewall/browser Internet Options Config and how he is acting on different websites and change that IO config as it may suit to your needs.(if you do have a Firewall)
3. Upgrade your Browser version.
4. Scan your Computer for Viruses & Spy/Adwares.

(Also it may be an ActiveX plugin auto-installed when you were visiting a website, and your PC/firewall doesnt allow that ActiveX plugin/control to run so that's why its killing your Browser process.)

How to get FireFox.
