So when you applied for a job, for references who did you put?
Who meaning as your teacher, your friend, your friend's parents?

i volunteered at places that we're like the jobs i was applying for. i think for a refence i put down the parents of the kids i babysat..

but really not that many references. ive basically only got jobs at the places i used to volunteer at.

Hmm, I've never really used any references... My first job just liked the fact that I went to a really good high school

My first job, I put down my guitar instructor, and my English teacher/writing mentor. The guitar instructor got me my job, because the manager of the place to which I applied had the same instructor when he was a kid, too.

Second job, I put down my old boss, and another high-ranking employee of the place to which I was applying.

Even though I didn't get the job, I put my 2 best friends' parents. But, I asked them first so incase they got a call from the place.

places you volunteer for and places you've worked. Don't give references unless they specificallly ask for them tho. If they don't ask, put "references available upon request"
