^ Look at your Wii user manual. lol.

-.-

But then I have to open up my Wii box and pull out all the packaging. And Im far too lazy to do that let alone get it down from atop my bookshelf.

I kind of want a Wii but I know that the only game I'd get for it is Twilight Princess, which I'm going to get for GC. So.. it's pointless. Although I would like to try out the new controller.

D:
But Wii Sports is so fun! I spent almost the whole vacation playing it and my arms are sore as hell. pinch.gif Tennis on Wii Sports = throb.gif

I like it a lot better than the other consoles because you actually get to move around while playing it instead of just sitting around with a controller.

L!ckitySplit, when do they announce the official game of the year? And TP the same as OoT? Are you kidding me? They're not nearly the same. Sure, it's Zelda, so it has to stay true to the series and there are some similarities, but come on. They're worlds apart. Literally (Twilight Realm, lol).

I don't have Oblivion but I have played it. I'd like to get the chance to play it some more. Honestly, everywhere I go on the net or see on TV, it's down between The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Gears of War, and Resistance: Fall of Man. TP always seems to take the cake. That, or Gears of War. Sure, Oblivion is up there, but it's not a top candidate.

And the only reason you "got a reaction" from me is because I was playing along. rolleyes.gif Not because it bothers me.

lol, well I don't have a Wii, so that was my best suggestion. You know, they don't kill trees for no reason. You are actually suppose to read that stuff. You'll probably discover some cool features you didn't even know about. thumbsup.gif

Zelda TP = 8.8 on Wii, then 8.9 on gamecube. Gamespot = fail.

^ Yeah, I know, I heard that awhile back. Lame... I never liked Gamespot anyways. I've always thought they've been trippin' on some serious stuff.

Today I found an interesting comparison that likens Nintendo to Apple. It's a provocative read.

^ Speaking of, I always wondered what it would be like if Apple had a gaming console. I'd never buy it though, haha, given Apple's track record but I think it would be pretty cool.

L!ckitySplit, when do they announce the official game of the year?

here ya go, some award category winner videos from gametrailers.com if ya interested, i think the big cheese winner is gonna be announced tommorow or the day after.

http://www.gametrailers.com/gtawards06.php

and when i said ZeldaTP, is not much different than OoT, i meant by revolutionary standards. Zelda sets a standard, but doesnt revoutionize one. get what i mean?
Sure things are different, new story (which is Sublime), a few new features, and new mechanics, and a different execution.but if you look at the soul of it, its still comes down to: boomerangs, bombs, dungeons, magic swords and puzzles.( Now don't get it twisted, Twilight Princess is an amazing game none the less, it does everything other games try to do in perfection. and still may very well win this thing, its just my opinion). but as good as it is, i cant honestly say the overall system, is necessarily anything ive never experienced before.

but as Gametrailers puts it, if you watch the video on best 360 game. "Elder Scrolls Oblivion goes above and beyond the call of a role player, to deliver a massive game with a scope that has never been experienced before, and you can basically, choose to play the game however you see fit, its open ended, open minded, and the pen ultimate xbox 360 game released in 2006"

to put it simply, Zelda's not necessarily a game i can play over and over again with different results, i can play it over again, but with the same story. Oblivion, the possibilities to change your path is endless each time you play it, you can beat the game achieving alot, while not even touching some other aspects that the game had to offer.

you own a 360 right?

Thanks for the link. I will definitely check it out.

Yeah, I see what your saying, but you can't deny that the very "soul" of Zelda is what keeps it alive and makes it one of the best and most successful franchises in the history of video games. I see what you mean about the same general essence being there. Honestly, I think if they did change that too much, people would be upset. Zelda seems fine just the way it is and people love it that way. I think that's why Nintendo has decided to keep to that very soul of the game.

Oh, I know. Oblivion is a great game, from what I hear and what little I have played. It's kind of like the old SNES game Chrono Trigger, right? The possibilities and different endings and aspects in that game seemed endless. Especially for its time. Like you said, you could beat the game without even touching other aspects of the game.

Unfortunately, no, but that will change soon as soon as I get hired for the new job I applied for. I've been fresh out of cash for awhile. laugh.gif If I did have a 360, don't you think I'd have Oblivion? lol.

I've just been basing my game of the year opinion on what I see. I'm really into gaming and I may even go into college to be a video game designer or programmer, so as you can imagine, I pay very close attention to what's going on. I may like Oblivion better than TP. Who knows! I can't wait to test it out.

I haven't had a problem with my Wii straps yet, but still. Even if the strap did break, how friggin' loose were you holding that thing for it to fall out of your hand!?

Butter bathers, gosh.

But mine almost flew out my hand once.. I was playing my brother in tennis and it was ADV-his side and it was the last game so I tried to hit it really hard on the serve and it slipped out of my hand. pinch.gif Thank God for the strap..

And I don't hold it that loose. It's just that my palms get sweaty..

Nintendo shouldn't be responsible for other people's actions. Why not just change the sensitivity?

^ Yeah, I think the site is suppose to be pretty sarcastic. At least, that's the feel I got from it.

At least Nintendo still listens to the idiots, even though they are idiots, and recalled the straps and sent new ones. _smile.gif
