I've done image mapping on my myspace..but after I submit and view the page, I can't click on the links where I've mapped.
What did I do wrong? |

you can't use image mapping on myspace because it requires the hash/pound sign (#) and its filtered from there that's why you see two dots (..) where # was. you should slice up your images instead.

QUOTE(Drtyrock @ Sep 7 2005, 10:08 AM) Sure..okay, for some reason on myspace firefox somehow still works with image mapping, or at least someone's page i critqued it worked. But after viewing it from lame internet explorer it won't work. But still nevertheless, the pound/hash sign (#) is filtered from myspace. I don't know how you or (anyone else that might be interested in image mapping on myspace that's reading this) do a regular image mapping, but I know there's a section of the coding that uses # CODE <img src="url of your layout" USEMAP="#TITLE_OF_MAP" BORDER="0"> Now if you took that code along with the rest of your image mapping codes and put it into myspace, it would look like.. CODE <img src="url of your layout" USEMAP="..TITLE_OF_MAP" BORDER="0"> two dots, in fact.. mostly anything that's filtered from myspace shows up as two dots. Just look at emo's post, you see the filter took place in their codes as well. Hope that clarifies my statement. |

I think there's a tutorial on image slicing. I look.
