I know it's terrible. But it's my first. In case you're wondering, it's a picture of a really close friend of mine (Tristan) with his little sister (Seraphine). Comments and critique appreciated!

Ooh! Nice job Katt! It's good for your first one. I just think you should think about brightening it a little bit.

Pretty good for your first, but I personally think it is better to colorize a vibrant image than something dark.

It was actually a webcam picture, so you can't expect awesome quality from that. I suppose I just got bored and it seemed fun to do.

QUOTE
-Bad image quality
-too dark
-a strand of hair is still noticably black and white

Yeah, I know it's too dark... It was lighter before, but it seemed too pale-ish looking? And I just noticed that too. Hair is hard to do!

i don't think that's bad, but i know absolutely nothing about colourizations, so i'll leave that to the pros.

Wow, nice work.
It looks realistic, and I love the colors you chose. =)
It is a bit too dark though; I suggest making it a tad bit brighter.

How to make stuff lighter and still look realistic:
Duplicate layer --> Layer options: Screen.

=)
